On Wednesday, students from the Seneca Highlands Career and Technical Center Health Assistance program held their annual Healthy Lifestyles Community Wellness Fair. In preparation for this event, students researched prevalent health-related topics in our area in order to educate the public and to make a positive impact on these issues.
These issues included diabetes, COPD, heart disease, teen pregnancy, sexually transmitted disease, sexual assault, Alzheimer’s disease, and medical transportation issues. Projects are on display at the Port Allegany Shop N’ Save until Friday. This event is an opportunity for students to showcase some of what they are learning, the importance of community service, and to interact with the public.
Seneca Highlands CTC would like to express our sincere appreciation for all that the Port Allegany Shop N’ Save does for the youth in the area.
