Congratulations to Abagail Luff, who is the student of the week for the week of October 12, 2026! Abby is a senior at Smethport Junior/Senior High School and a third-year student in the health assistance program at the Seneca Highlands Career and Technical Center.
Abby plans to attend a post-secondary school in the healthcare field. In the health assistance lab setting, students look to Abby for encouragement and guidance. Her kind and calm nature is “just what the doctor ordered” when young students are trying to learn new skills. In the fall, Abby attended nurse aide clinicals at Sweden Valley Manor, where residents found her a breath of fresh air because of her patience, positive attitude, and compassion. Outside of the academic setting, Abby enjoys cheerleading and the outdoors.
