Seneca Highlands Career and Technical Center Students Compete in Diesel Technology Event

Students from the Seneca Highlands Career and Technical Center heavy equipment program demonstrated their technical skills during the Diesel Technology Competition on December 12–13, 2025, at the Schneebeli Earth Science Center in Montgomery, Pennsylvania. The two-day event challenged competitors through a series of hands-on stations designed to reflect real-world diesel and heavy equipment service scenarios. Students were tested on areas such as electrical diagnostics, hydraulic component identification, fasteners, sealants, generator fundamentals, and schematic interpretation, emphasizing both technical accuracy and workplace safety.

In addition to the competition, students participated in program tours and engaged with industry professionals, gaining valuable insight into postsecondary and career opportunities within the diesel and heavy equipment fields.

Representing Seneca Highlands Career and Technical Center were Jett Finch and Cooper Anderson, who showcased strong problem-solving skills and professionalism throughout the event.
