Our students are making headlines, and we can’t wait to share all the great news with you. We invite you to join us for our annual Awards Day, where we recognize and reward students for all their hard work throughout the year. We recognize students for their achievements in the following areas:
- Community Service
- Highest GPA
- Most Improved Skill Sets
- Perfect Attendance
- Scholarship Winners
- Student of the Year
- And More!
If you can’t make it in person, we livestream the event via our school Facebook page. Watch for invitations on Facebook, our News page, and to come home with students in May. See you there!

Annual Career Portfolio Contest
Every spring, students may elect to participate in our Career Portfolio Contest for a chance to win prizes and Seneca Highlands CTC gear. All students must submit their portfolio by the first Friday in March to qualify.
Staff members will judge the portfolios and select 27 to be showcased for prizes. Grand prize winners will walk away with gift certificates to area businesses and spiritwear. All portfolios are judged on neatness, accuracy, creativity, and completeness. All must contain the following:
- Student profile with at least two sections (e.g., goals, and objectives) that introduce the portfolio
- Resume
- Skills section with at least four headings and three different experience categories
- References
- Artifacts section highlighting at least three examples of your work
Helpful Hints
- Customize your portfolio to reflect your career or educational goals.
- Use correct spelling and grammar.
- Preview your portfolio before submitting it to make sure you have met the minimum requirements and that all your items are in a viewable format.
- Get feedback on your career portfolio from an advisor.
