Seneca Highlands CTC's Student of the Week

Madison Ness is the Student of the Week for the week of December 4, 2023.

She is participating in the afternoon session of the Early Childhood Education program at the Seneca Highlands Career and Technical Center. Madison is a senior enrolled at Smethport Area High School. Upon graduation, Madison is going to attend St. Bonaventure University to further her education in Early Childhood Education.

Madison works for the Smethport 21ST CCLC After School Program. Her extracurriculars' include the following: 4-H club member, basketball team, cheerleading squad, 4-H teen council president, and last year she traveled to Washington D.C. as a delegate to represent her state in the national 4-H conference. She is also a member of the National Technical Honor Society.

Madison enjoys spending time with her animals and playing sports in her free time. We look forward to her efforts paying off as she strives to attain her Child Development Associate credential in the near future. 

Madison has extended herself during her three years at the Career and Technical Center by taking Psychology 111, a free three-credit college course at the Career and Technical Center. She is competing in Skills USA in January with a prepared speech. She has helped with multiple tours at the Career and Technical Center as well as serving on the student committee. Congratulations Maddie!
